Directions for use: Handihaler and Lupinhaler
Certain drugs are formulated as powder and delivered by various types of inhaler devices. Dry powder inhalers deliver the drug to your lungs, helped by the force of your indrawn breath. Contrary to metered-dose inhalers, the device contains no propellant gas. When using the device, please follow these directions:

- Open the cover and the mouthpiece.
- Insert the capsule into the chamber. Close the mouthpiece firmly until you hear a "click".
- Holding the device upwards, press the green button completely to pierce the capsule. Release.
- The powder is now ready for inhalation.

- Turn your head away from the inhaler and exhale deeply.
- Place the mouthpiece between your teeth and close your lips around it. Do not chew the mouthpiece.
- Keeping your head upright, inhale slowly and deeply. You should hear the capsule vibrate.
- Hold your breath for 10 seconds, or longer if you can.
- Exhale slowly.
- Repeat these steps to get the full dose.
- To discard the capsule, open the mouthpiece and reverse the device.
- Do not touch the capsule. Wash your hands if you get dry powder on them.
Replace the cover before storing your inhaler. You can clean all the pieces of the device once a month with warm water. Let it air dry 24 hours. If you drop the inhaler after loading a dose or if you breathe out into it, you will lose the dose. If this happens, repeat the above-mentioned steps.
It is normal for people not to taste or feel any medication when inhaling dry powder.
