Head lice treatment
Shampoos and cream rinses commonly used to treat head lice (pediculosis) should be meticulously applied to the hair so as to cover the entire head. They can be used on wet or dry hair, depending on the product. The right amount to apply depends on your hair length. Read the label and packaging instructions before initiating treatment.
Directions


- Apply the product to the hair by separating hair into several sections.
- Make sure that the hair is evenly covered.
- Pay special attention to the hair in the nape of the neck and behind the ears.

- Thoroughly massage the product into the hair to ensure optimal penetration.
- In case of contact with your eyes, rinse immediately with water.
- After the recommended waiting time, rinse (and/or wash) hair according to directions provided by the manufacturer.
- Dry your hair with a clean towel or a hair dryer. Afterwards, if applicable, place the used towel with the other items that need to be cleaned.

- Use a fine-toothed comb to remove lice and nits after each application then 2, 11 and 17 days after the first treatment.
- Depending on the product you are using, one to two additional treatments will be necessary. Speak to your pharmacist to learn more about the proper application schedule.
- Talk to your pharmacist before using any other product on your hair or scalp.
