Directions for use: Respiclick

Some medications can be prescribed as a powder, administered through a dry powder inhaler. With these types of inhalers, the medication is delivered directly to the lungs by the force of your inhalation. Unlike metered-dose inhalers, they don't contain propellants. To use the Respiclick, please follow these instructions:

• Hold the inhaler upright and pull the green cap away from the mouthpiece until you hear a click. Do not open the cap unless you're taking a dose. Opening and closing the cap without inhaling a dose will waste the medication.

• Turn your head away from the inhaler and breathe out fully.

• Place the mouthpiece in your mouth and close your lips around it. Do not block the vent above the mouthpiece with your fingers or mouth.

• Breathe in quickly and deeply through your mouth.
• Remove the inhaler from your mouth and hold your breath for 10 seconds.
• Exhale slowly.
• Close the cap on the inhaler. This will ensure it's ready for your next dose.

The Respiclick inhaler has a counter that shows the number of remaining doses. You can wipe the mouthpiece with a dry cloth. Never clean it with water.
